It is so heartening to see your initiatives being appreciated by riders. Four rides — Siddhivinayak Joglekar, Yogesh Dapurkar, Sunil Varhade and Ajinkya Barhate — were seen using the Ncyclopedia 24×7 air, water, lubricant facility Thursday morning. Thank you, riders. Ncyclopedia is a thinking store and will keep coming up with more rider-friendly initiatives.

Cycling for health

A bank is banking on Ncyclopedia. HDFC Bank and Ncyclopedia have joined hands to promote bicycling as a way of life. The bank is offering easy EMIs on purchase of bikes from Ncyclopedia. It has launched a sustained “fitness through bicycling” campaign with the support of Ncyclopedia.
Ncyclopedia bicycles are on display at select HDFC Bank branches, we are setting up a “test ride” camp at the Sadar HDFC Bank on Saturday and HDFC Bank will tag along as Ncyclopedia displays bikes at Sawangi Medical College for seven days starting September 16.
The near future will see these and many more joint initiatives by Ncyclopedia and HDFC Bank to bring bicycling and bicycles into the mainstream.

Ncyclopedia at Sawangi Medical College

Ncyclopedia was invited by Sawangi medical college vice-chancellor Rajiv Borge to set up a display and test ride camp on campus during Ganesh festival to create awareness about cycling and cycles among staff and students. Rajiv wants to turn the campus green and discourage the use of motor vehicles by students and staff. Ncyclopedia is always there to support such progressive initiatives. We introduced Sawangi to the beautiful world of bicycles and bicycling.

Ncyclopedia technicians clear Trek test with flying colours

Even if you are the best, there is always scope for better. With this thought in mind, Ncyclopedia sent both its technicians for Trek training and test and both have come out with flying colours! While master technician Mohammad alias Mosim Ansari scored 100% (150 out of 150 marks), emerging star Nikhil Dhale was not far behind at 95% (142 out of the possible 150). We never had a doubt, nor did the cycling community, whose backbone Mohammad has come to become. But there is always scope for improvement. Ncyclopedia wants to keep getting better. Every time you visit us, you will find us better than before. We keep taking steps to serve the bicycling community better. The training and testing of our technicians was another step in this direction. Congratulations Mohammad and Nikhil

Rotary appreciates Ncyclopedia's contribution

Two articles in the September 2018 issue of Golden Orange (GO), the Rotary Club of Nagpur (RCN) monthly mag, appreciate the contribution of Ncyclopedia.
Ncyclopedia serviced free of cost the bicycle of Everest climber Sunita Singh Choken, who was cycling 500 km from Somnath Temple in Gujarat to Nepal to spread the “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” message .
Sunita, who started her journey on July 15, was sponsored by Rotary Club of Rewari Main and made comfortable in Nagpur by an RCN team led by President Kapil Bahri.
Ncyclopedia also made available on rent bicycles for an outing to Deolapar by 50 woman Rotarians.
Two other articles in GO mention participation of Ncyclopedia promoter Aniruddha in the debate “Rishto se Azadi” and narrate the Ncyclopedia story.
All in all a healthy contribution.

Ncyclopedia supports Leh-Kanyakumari rider

Ncyclopedia rider Deepanti rode 70-plus km to see off Leh-to-Kanyakumari rider Sachin Deva Friday morning. Friends of Ncyclopedia Anand Kasture and Abhay Ghui kept them company.
Sachin, an alumnus of Scindia School, Gwalior, and an investment banker with Goldman Sachs in Bangalore, arrived in Nagpur Thursday evening and was received by another Scindia School alumnus Sandeep Agrawal and Rotarians on the outskirts of the city. Resting the night, he began onward journey Friday morning. Deepanti ensured Sachin and crew had good breakfast at Southern Element, owned by fellow riders Bhanu and Bharati Rajagopalan, in Laxminagar. She then gave Sachin company almost till Jam.
While riding shoulder to shoulder, Deepanti made Sachin aware of the rich and developing cycling culture in Nagpur and promised help for his future tours.
Sachin was surprised to know that Nagpur had a great bicycling culture and bicycle service facilities. He rode off with great memories.
Ncyclopedia – always there for the rider!

Rallying for peace and how!
India Peace Centre (IPC), Nagpur, organized a Peace Day rally on Friday. The initiative led by Tejinder Singh Rawal received great response from the cycling community.
The rally was flagged off by Mrs India 2016 second runner-up Ekta Bhaiya and was graced, among others, by oldest Super Randonneur Bhupendra Arya.
While Ekta appreciated the enthusiasm of riders to turn up in large numbers at an early hour, Bhupendra played down that he was riding at 76. He said it was the other way around: “I am 76 because I am riding.”
Tejinder appreciated rider support to the rally over the years and made sure everyone was comfortable.
From India Peace Centre near VCA stadium, the rally went to Centre Point School to Seminary Hills to Futala lake to come out on Amravati Road and then back to IPC via Law College Square.
Ncyclopedia promoter Aniruddha was also among the riders.
